For four years, thirdgeneration Dallas native Catherine Cuellar has been known to north Texas public radio listeners as KERA's girl reporter, covering general news assignments. From the dawn of the millennium through the invasion of Iraq, she worked at KCRW in Santa Monica, California, wearing many hats and occasionally tripping on
celebrities. During the late '90s, Cuellar cofounded arts and entertainment website GuideLive.com and wrote about local multicultural literary, visual, and performing arts for The Dallas Morning News. She cohosts literary series The Writers' Studio, syndicated via the Public Radio Exchange. With a creative writing degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, she aspires to inspire English majors and dilettantes everywhere. In 2007 she left nonprofit journalism (sold out to The Man?) to work as Managing Editor of Dallas' hyperlocal PegasusNews.com
