John Pomara is an assistant professor of art at the University of Texas at Dallas, which has allowed him to mentor Tree Wave's Paul Slocum and photographer Jin-Ya Huang as well as organize an alumni exhibition in Mexico. He is represented by the Barry Whistler Gallery in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas and holds an MFA from East Texas State University. His work has been exhibited at the Mark Moore Gallery in Los Angeles, the Inman Gallery in Houston, and the Dallas Museum of Art.
